Booking Terms

  • All cats must be vaccinated against Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), Feline herpesvirus (FHV), and Feline calicivirus (FCV), which must have been administered at least 14 days before the booking start date. No cats will be accepted without a valid, current vaccination certificate, which must be brought with the cat and left with us during the booking

  • All cats must be on a current vet recommended flea/worm treatment and treatment must have started at least 7 days prior to the booking start date

  • Any known medical condition must be declared at time of booking

  • We reserve the right not to accept pets with any illness which might endanger the other animals or which has not been notified in advance.

  • Under most circumstances we will be happy to administer treatment (except injections) as prescribed by a vet provided that medication is clearly labelled and accompanied by written instructions

  • Unneutered male cats will not be accepted for boarding unless they are less than 6 months old

  • A 20% deposit (subject to a minimum of £25) must be paid to confirm a booking, with the balance being due 14 days before the start of the booking. All bookings made within 14 days of the booking start date must be paid in full. Payment accepted by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to J Crane. Bank details are: sort code 30-99-68, account number 20629560

  • In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel a booking there will be no cancellation charges up to 14 days before the booking start date with the exception of the deposit which is non-refundable. However, no refunds will be given if cancellations are received within 14 days of the booking start date. Please check your travel insurance policy cover as you may have cattery/kennel cover to reclaim the cost of the boarding charges

  • THERE IS A MINIMUM CHARGE EQUIVILENT OF A 3 DAY STAY (5 DAYS AT CHRISTMAS)

  • You must transport your cat(s) in a suitable secure pet carrier unit. Do not carry your cat in your arms or in any old box. Any sudden movement, loud noise or bang could mean your cat might escape and run off and this shall be totally the pet owners’ responsibility

  • In the event of emergency treatment outside of your vet’s usual working hours, please note that we may consider it necessary to use our own vets especially if your out-of-hours vet is not local and medical treatment for your cat is urgent. We do not wish to put your cat through unnecessary further pain or distress having to travel an unreasonable distance. Any veterinary treatment deemed necessary will be at the pet owner’s expense. A charge of £12 per hour will be incurred to cover attendance and travel, plus any veterinary charges

  • In the unlikely event of non-collection of your pet on the due date and subsequent failure either to contact or resolve the situation with your nominated emergency contact within 14 days of the due date, we reserve the right to find alternative accommodation for your pet on a temporary or permanent basis

  • If in the unfortunate event a cat should die whilst staying at the cattery the owner or owner’s contact person will be advised. The cat will be taken to the cattery veterinary surgery for the appropriate safe storage until the owners return, unless instructed otherwise
